Scott Forbes, previously Deputy Chief Executive of Skills and Education Group, has been announced as the group’s Acting Chief Executive.

This follows the resignation of Paul Eeles, who stepped down on 8th October.

Scott will lead the day-to-day operations of the group, working alongside the Group’s Board of Trustees.

Speaking of his appointment, Scott said:

“As Skills and Education Group navigates this change and moves forward into its next phase, I am honoured to have the trust of the Board and be appointed Acting Chief Executive.

“Skills and Education Group has championed the transformation of lives through education for 112 years – and we are constantly striving to find new and innovative ways to educate and upskill those who need it most.

“Our learners and our drive for increased social mobility will remain at the heart of what we do. Our members and partners will remain crucial in helping us achieve our goals.

We have much to build on, and I look forward to leading the group into the next era.”
